At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Manoj Solleti for an exclusive interview with us. Manoj is an Entrepreneur and Founder & CEO at Manya Dental Clinics. Let’s learn more about his background, journey and his advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Manoj:

What inspired you to enter the dental healthcare industry, and what gap did you initially see in the market?

What inspired me was the realization that oral healthcare in India was still highly fragmented and largely reactive. Most people seek dental treatment only when pain becomes unbearable, and unfortunately, many patients struggle to distinguish between temporary fixes and truly reliable long-term solutions.

I saw a significant gap in access to transparent, specialist-driven dental care that patients could genuinely trust. Dentistry is deeply connected to confidence, nutrition, overall health, and quality of life, yet awareness around preventive oral healthcare remained very limited.

Manya Dental Clinics was built on a simple belief patients deserve the same level of trust, systems, and quality consistency in dentistry that they expect from other advanced healthcare specialties.

You often talk about building solutions where others see problems. Can you share a challenge in the dental ecosystem that became a breakthrough opportunity for you?

One of the biggest challenges in dentistry is fear fear of pain, fear of uncertainty, and fear of overtreatment. Because of these concerns, many people postpone treatment for years.

Instead of seeing this as just a patient acquisition problem, we viewed it as an opportunity to redesign the consultation experience itself.

We invested heavily in digital dentistry, intraoral scanning, treatment simulations, transparent counselling protocols, and specialist-led consultations. When patients can visualize their condition and clearly understand treatment options, anxiety reduces dramatically and trust increases.

What many considered a trust deficit in dentistry became an opportunity for us to build a trust-first healthcare model.

How do you see the Indian dental industry evolving over the next 5–10 years, especially with growing awareness around preventive care?

I believe the Indian dental industry is entering a transformational phase.

Over the next decade, dentistry will move from being largely pain-driven to prevention-driven. Increasing awareness, rising disposable incomes, digital access, and aesthetic consciousness are changing how people perceive oral health.

Today’s patients are becoming more informed and are increasingly seeking:

– Long-term outcomes over temporary fixes

– Specialist expertise

– Digital transparency

– Comfort-focused treatments

– Preventive and aesthetic solutions

Organized dental healthcare networks will play a major role in standardizing quality and making advanced care more accessible. Technologies such as AI-assisted diagnostics, digital workflows, aligners, guided implantology, and preventive monitoring will significantly improve patient outcomes.

What are the biggest operational or scalability challenges in running organized dental clinics in India today?

The biggest challenge is maintaining consistency while scaling.

Healthcare is fundamentally people-driven. As organizations expand across multiple centers, ensuring standardized patient experience, clinical quality, communication, and operational discipline becomes extremely important.

Another challenge is that dentistry still lacks deep operational digitization compared to other healthcare sectors. Building systems for treatment tracking, follow-ups, patient engagement, and productivity requires continuous investment.

At Manya Dental Clinics, we strongly believe scalability should never come at the cost of trust or treatment quality. That philosophy shapes every operational decision we make.

In healthcare, balancing business growth with patient trust is critical. How do you ensure both coexist at Manya Dental Clinics?

In healthcare, trust is not a marketing strategy it is the business itself.

We focus on building long-term patient relationships rather than transactional dentistry. This means transparent communication, specialist-driven treatment planning, evidence-based recommendations, and clarity around prognosis before beginning treatment.

When you genuinely prioritize patient trust, sustainable business growth naturally follows through retention, referrals, and reputation.

Our philosophy is simple: patients should never feel confused, pressured, or uncertain about their treatment decisions.

Technology is transforming healthcare rapidly. Which innovations in dentistry or patient care excite you the most right now?

What excites me most is how digital dentistry is transforming patient understanding and treatment predictability.

Technologies such as intraoral scanners, AI-assisted diagnostics, smile simulations, guided implantology, and clear aligner workflows are making consultations far more transparent and interactive.

I’m particularly excited about innovations that improve patient confidence and reduce fear. When patients can visualize treatment outcomes before they even begin, decision-making becomes more informed and emotionally comfortable.

I also believe AI will significantly improve workflow efficiency, patient communication, and preventive care tracking over the coming years.

What role does patient experience play in your business strategy, and how have patient expectations evolved over the years?

Patient experience sits at the center of our strategy because healthcare is not only about clinical outcomes it is equally about how patients feel throughout their journey.

Today’s patients expect:

> Transparency

> Minimal waiting time

> Digital convenience

> Personalized communication

> Comfort-focused care

> Reliable outcomes

Patients no longer evaluate clinics solely on treatment quality; they evaluate the entire experience.

At Manya Dental Clinics, we continuously invest in systems, training, technology, and hospitality because we believe patients should feel reassured from the moment they walk in until long after treatment completion.

Many entrepreneurs struggle to scale service-based businesses. What leadership principles have helped you grow sustainably?

One leadership principle I strongly believe in is building systems that are stronger than individuals.

Sustainable scaling happens when organizations create standardized processes, clear accountability, strong culture, and empowered teams.

Another principle is staying deeply connected to the customer problem. In healthcare, if leadership becomes disconnected from patient realities, growth may happen temporarily, but sustainability suffers.

I also believe transparency internally is just as important as transparency with patients. Teams perform better when there is clarity, trust, and a shared sense of purpose.

What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs looking to build purpose-driven businesses in healthcare?

Healthcare is one of the few industries where trust compounds over years.

My advice would be: never optimize short-term revenue at the cost of credibility.

Build something that genuinely improves people’s lives. Focus deeply on patient problems, operational discipline, and ethical decision-making. Technology and marketing can accelerate growth, but trust remains the strongest moat in healthcare.

Also, purpose-driven businesses require patience. Real impact takes time, consistency, and resilience.

Beyond business success, what kind of impact or legacy do you hope Manya Dental Clinics creates in the healthcare ecosystem?

Our vision goes far beyond building clinics.

We want to contribute toward creating a healthcare ecosystem where oral care becomes preventive, transparent, fear-free, and trusted.

If patients begin seeking dental care proactively rather than only during pain, if children grow up with stronger awareness around oral health, and if people regain confidence in dentistry through reliable experiences that would be a meaningful impact for us.

Ultimately, I hope Manya Dental Clinics becomes known not just for treatments, but for changing how people experience oral healthcare in India.
